If anxiety, stress or depression is affecting your daily life, a GP here at Australia Fair in Southport can prepare a mental health treatment plan with you.
The plan covers your needs and goals, any referrals, and when you'll review it together.
All our GPs prepare mental health treatment plans for their existing patients.
Fees and Medicare
GP Mental Health Treatment Plans are bulk billed for patients with a current Medicare card.
Patients with a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan are eligible for up to 10 individual sessions with a Psychologist in a calendar year.
In an emergency: if you or someone else is in danger, call 000.
At the Appointment
You and your GP will discuss how you’ve been feeling, what you need and what support would help. Your GP may refer you to a Psychologist, a Psychiatrist or another mental health professional.
