This week we welcomed our new doctor Dr Brian Baker
Dr Baker is an experienced GP, Forensic medical examiner and a family doctor with more than 30 years of experience.
Dr Brian Baker graduate from University of Liverpool (UK) after which he undertook a number of hospital department rotations before finalising his General Practice training in 1986. From there, Dr Baker’s career took him into running his own GP practice(s) in the UK, working as a Divisional Forensic Medical Examiner, providing medico-legal services, with a stint in rural general practice prior to relocating to Australia in 2013.
Since moving to Australia, Dr Baker has held a number of GP positions in Western Australia and Qld, building on his passion of helping patients with chronic and complex problems.
Quoting Dr Baker
“I have been a patient for over 60 years, and for 35 of those years, I have been a family doctor. I have specialised in the management of chronic conditions, aged care, and palliative care. However, I am now going to focus on helping people of all ages live well- promoting good health to avoid problems, assisting in the early detection of specific diseases, and reducing the complications of established diseases.”
