The Queensland Government Flu Vaccination Blitz is from 24th May - 30th June 2022. Only 20 days remain for you to get your Free Flu Jab and keep yourself & your family safe this winter. With the increasing number of respiratory illnesses circulating in the community now, the Flu Vaccination incentive from the Queensland Government is encouraging safe and effective way to protect you from serious disease caused by influenza.

The Influenza Vaccine can be received at the same time as a COVID-19 Vaccination.
PROCESS
QUEENSLANDERS WITH MEDICARE
Prior to your flu vaccination, you will be seen by a doctor to assess your health status and to receive consent for the flu jab. GP consultations are bulk-billed for the Flu Vaccination.
QUEENSLANDERS WITHOUT MEDICARE
If your do not hold a Medicare card, you can still receive the flu vaccine for free, however you will be billed privately for your consultation with the GP prior to your vaccination.
If you are a part of the National Immunisation Program (NIP), you can get your free flu jab at our medical centre.
People eligible for a free influenza vaccination through NIP include:
People aged 65 years and over
Pregnant women (at any stage during pregnancy)
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over
All children aged 6 months and over to less than 5 years
People aged 6 months and over with certain medical conditions that increase their chance of severe influenza and its complications.
